St. Paddy's Day

It was a beautiful day in the City today. We went to the St. Patrick's Day Parade. So much fun! Thank god for the Irish, they really know how to party.

The kids (we borrowed Una for the day to up our Irish street cred, thanks to the Martins) had a lot of fun riding on the Carpenter's Union float and throwing out candy.

Dad had a lot of fun watching at all the insanely drunk Irish college girls in short shorts. New rule; if the pockets are longer than the shorts, they shouldn't be worn in public.

Here are some photos (none of the co-eds, this is a family blog after all!).

The lead float

The overflow float. Hi Lazlo!

Una took her candy throwing duties very seriously.

Nice bumper sticker.

Lazlo pointing out where the candy was.

Sledding!

65 degrees, sunny and sledding. What a day!

Gung Hay Fat Choy!

Chinese New Year was last Thursday. It is a big deal here in SF where 1 in 5 residents is Chinese. Public schools are off, BIG parades, etc. Here is some footage and photos of a small parade put on by Lalzo's preschool. They made their own section of dragon, strung them together and marched a block around on Clement St. outside the school. It was very cute. Josie got to take part in it as she was off school that day too!
